I recently purchased a Zalman VF900 to get the the temps down from 78C under load with the stock cooling on a Sapphire x1950xt. I was about to remove the stock cooler, and went to see if there were any online pictures of the removal process, when I found this forum thread:

where someone put a VF900 on their x1950xt and found that the temps went UP by 15C! I'm curious whether this has happened to other people, as I don't want to disassemble my stock cooler until I know the VF900 is going to be an adequate solution.
If you have this combination, would you please post what the outcome was for your temps? Thanks.
