The SapphireRadeon X1950 Pro AGP is based on the X1950 GPU for AGP systems, and will be available in shops in the second week of december.

Also GECUBE also released their RADEON X1950PRO, 256MB GDDR 3, AGP 8X, HDCP Edition

Any idea when the first Dx10 mainstream cards are going to be released by? Or should I just go ahead and buy this?

I just went to the Sapphire websight and they only list a 256mb DDR3.
Its nice to see they are finally coming out with these cards.
I'm hoping for an inexpensive 512mb.

i got my VisionTek x1950p today ... very similar core and memory speeds [575/1380]

a definite upgrade over my x850xt ...
[stock/same rig: x850xt scores 6300 in 3DMark05 ... x1950p scores 7850]

i'd say 25-40% faster PLUS better visuals
[a full 'notch' up on *everything* detailwise plus faster]

i'd like to see how it compares with the 512MB vRAM version
