Very tempting. After experiencing the excellent performance of X1950XTX, I'm now more than eager to try out CrossFire. Where does X1950Pro CF land performance-wise? Would it be better than a single XTX?

I have coined a new term for this....

FLACID LAUCH :D

It's good that the price has come down. Competition FTW!

actually it was a hard launch with hard-to-swallow prices and hard-to-find parts. ;)

it's finally at MSRP . . . now let's see the sales and the real competition!

Nah, most of the time it barely manages to equal X1950 let alone beat it.

I don't see the point of CrossFiring these particular cards. Go with an X19xxXTX if you need that performance.

Big time..about 30-40%. Crossfire 1950 pro is the way to fly!!! Lower power faster and cheaper!!!

Unless you like SLI GTO's:)

These two IMO are the high end choice right now.,

Might want to have look at techreoprt link. 1950 pro's beat 1950xtx like red headed step child.

Looks that way in Quake 4 (who plays that anyway  ) but take a look, for example, at the F.E.A.R. results (1600x1200x32/MaxQ/4xAA/16xAF)

X1950 Pro CrossFire: 52fps (average)
X1950XTX: 56fps (average)

The single XTX card also has a significant advantage in minimum frame rates (12 vs 28).

MArgin of error there how about Oblivion & GR where 1950pros are thumping x1950xtx? :) Nobody play those either?

How about lower power for two cards vs. 1?

How about quieter?

How about $400 vs. $450?

Perusing Oblivion results, I wouldn't call 10fps "thumping". Considering you have two cards against one :D

X1950XTX is very quiet at stock. I doubt a pair of X1950 Pro's would be quieter :D

I guess I was just disappointed with the CF performance. I expected better. These aren't low end cards like 7600GT SLI or something.
