The 25 mhz core and memory clock increase gives it up to a 5 fps increase over the stock XTX in games like BF2 and the load temps are >20C cooler than a stock XTX: http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/sap...e_blizzard_radeon_x1900_xtx/page13.asp

If anyone has been put off by the stock XTX cooler then this is a great alternative.

Instead of lower noise levels, the greatest advantage the cooling unit of Sapphire?s Blizzard Radeon X1900 XTX has over stock X1900 XTX cards is without a doubt its lower operating temperatures. In testing our Blizzard card ran at considerably lower temperatures than our stock Built by ATI Radeon X1900 XTX graphics card ? over 20 degrees Celsius under load with the card?s fan set to ?high?. That?s a pretty remarkable difference in our opinion, especially when you factor in that the Blizzard board is also running at higher clock speeds.

The real selling point of the Blizzard Radeon X1900 XTX is that you?re getting all this for just under $550 ? Sapphire says that they?ll begin selling the board on Newegg next week for $539 after $30 mail-in rebate.

As I said in a surprisingly similar thread (edit, can't find it now)- is somewhat disapointing that this solution is not quiet. Ati has everything going for it, in terms of performance and IQ and I am looking forward to a nice quiet solution. Personally I am getting ready to purchase the neccessary h2o cooling parts for a real silent system.

Interesting card with that radiator cooling system.

I wouldn't be worried about noise(I usually play my games at a fairly loud level) but I would worry about springing a leak at some point. Cool stuff to think about anyway. :)

I'm not sure about this card. Didn't the Anandtech review say that the radiator wouldn't keep the card cool for extended periods of time?

Not the noise while gaming that concerns me, more the noise while playing movies or in general at idle. If this one has a noisy pump - than always noisy. I like a quiet computer.
