Sapphire Toxic 6850 question?

I maybe looking to get a pair of sapphire toxic 6850s for a crossfire setup and I noticed something odd when looking at the photos of the card on newegg. Unlike any other 6850, the sapphire model requires 2 6pin power connectors. This really isnt a problem as my psu has the required cables and power, it just strikes me odd that this one card is different. Anyone know why this might be?
