Sapphire Theatre 550 Pro TV Tuner

I was wondering if there is any completely free software that you can use with this card to get all the features. If not, what is a good software package for not too much money and which doesn't have any additional monthly/yearly fees. I will be using it mostly for just watching TV, but I will also use the recording features on occasion.

Maybe look at GB-PVR Link. I don't know if it supports all the features, but I hear alot of good things about it.

I've used SageTV and liked it quite a bit, if not for MCE 2005, thats probably what I'd be using since v3.0 beta now supports Theater 550, it costs money, but not a subscription.

You could even use Graphedit if you are handy with directshow filters.

I just was reading the forum there and apparently the remote has some functionality, but the developer has no remote to write code for, so it is not officially supported. I'd look through the forums it appears to have a prety fair user base and some users with Theater 550 cards.

Yeah, Sub seems to really work on the issues that people bring up. Seems like a good way to go.
