SAPPHIRE Radeon X800GTO FireBlade Edition Video Card

I'm building a computer for a friend of mine. She wants to keep the final cost under $700.00, and all componets must be under $150.00. Here are few of the parts I'm using:

A64 3200+ 939
Asus Xpess200 mobo
G.Skill 2x512MB pc3200
WD 80GB SATA OEM
Asus DVDRW
Coolermaster midtower w/ 400Wpsu
Sudent copy of XP pro

Already have 19" monitor and speakers.

I want to know if this card is worth $37.00 of the price of a SAPPHIRE Radeon X800GTO 128MB DDR1. And does this card unlock to 16pp? Anything over $150.00 is out of the question.

I would say it is worth it over the 128mb DDR.

It has a giant HSF which will greatly reduce temps and boost OCs.

But this is a 99% no go on unlocking.
Probably your best choice...unless you can find something used.

GTO Fireblade editions don't unlock (the cores are laser-cut); Only the GTO^2s unlock . . . the Fireblad does have the R480 core and 1.6ns RAM and the X850XT cooler so it does overclock as well as the X850XT would . . . only it has 12 pipes . ..

I have that exact card in my new build. Fan is NOISY ; looking into replacement options for fan. Haven't installed OS yet, so no OC.
