I'm thinking about getting a new video card, and I'm currently looking at this one:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814102061

Does anyone have any better suggestions, for the $200-$225 price range? Anything I should know about this card?

I'm kindof leaning toward ATI because they can support AA and HDR at the same time, and Nvidea can't on most games.

Please post any suggestions, it would be appreciated.

That is definetly the best card in that price range. It will beat the 7900gt in almost all benches and the cooler is superior as well. The asus version of the card used to be $170 @ newegg. They bumped it up to $190 though :(

Whats an extra 20 bucks??? If you can spend 170$ you can surely get another 20$ if its worth it, which it is.

It has a double slot cooler that is better than the stock cooler, but that's it.

Sapphire version in stock here.

I reccomend this version over the Asus, because supposedly the Asus doesnt have the potential for Crossfire.

BTW, this card is on par with a 7900GT. It is usually either 1 FPS lower, or up to 5 FPS higher in most games. Take a look at this review and see which games you like playing more.

Also take into account that AR, a 7900GT is around the same price as a X1950PRO.

Also take into account that 7900GT's can be voldmodded to around the speed of a 7900GTX.

And of course the HDR+AA in Oblivion goes to ATI.

Volt modding is a process in which you use electrical ink to raise the voltage on the 7900gt. You can do it with a pencil too. It is complex but very effective in producing great performance (and a lot of heat). Welcome to the forums!:D

I have read several reviews of the powercolor version.. it seems to be one of the fastest versions, one of the coolest running versions and one of the quietest versions... this is a new product at newegg and just my my choice for me

Yes, that is a nice find. Didnt even think to check the egg for newer cards.

Especially good because ATI's are ridiculed for their coolers, and most people replace them with an accelero anyway.

Unless your brave enough to do the voltmod, thats your best bet.

I would honestly get one for my new setup, if I still had money left over for Wii.

I don't think it's gonna get any better then that 20$ after market cooler and still same price as all other X1950PRO was gonna wait till after Wed to order a video card but not with that!
