Cheapest 7950 at the moment, although there was a $250 AMIR deal that appeared for a very short time.

This variant doesn't have a dual link DVI port. Does that mean it can't run a 2560x1440 resolution? Or do you just need to get an adapter for one of the other ports?

You'll only be able to run 2650x1440 via DisplayPort. Can't say for sure, but I assume a DisplayPort to Dual Link DVI adapter would work.

Consider that the price of the dual-link active displayport to DVI adapter is around $100 I think, or you could just use that as an argument to walk into MIcrocenter and buy a 27" 1440p monitor for $399 that natively supports displayport. I'd much rather keep the $100 and spend it on the new monitor, and not have to get the expensive adapter.

You can get mini displayport to displayport cables. That would work wouldn't it? Monoprice has them, but in white.

I have my Shimian (1440p) running off this card so I would assume the DVI port is Dual_Link.

Do you have the 100352-3L or 100352-2L?

The 3L has dual link, this 2L does not, according to newegg. The 3L is just $30 more.

Not a big deal, but it's good to be clear.

I had to get the 3L because it is shorter; but the 2L was tempting due to better price. It was a similar price 2 weeks ago when i ordered. Up and down up and down. I wonder what will happen after Mar 31st; when the rebate period AND free game promotion expires.

Zmhah, incase you don't know (can check with NE first) but I believe which I have done before other than a VC. You can order a 2L now and when the 3L is delivered just refuse it and the 3L goes right back to NE with no restocking fee or return shipping charge.

But before you order a 2L give NE a call and double check this first!

I bought this same card from newegg with the previous 4-in-1 game bundle for $299, and that was at the beginning for December - almost 4 months ago.

I actually can't believe the regular price without a coupon has only come down $10 in 4 months.

I have the 2L presently -- had 2 other 2L's as well. Purchased all of them w/in the past 6 weeks from (superbiiz, newegg, and amazon)

Does anybody know if this deal is still going on? I plan on picking up this gpu, but I remember reading somewhere that the deal is over as of yesterday (3/31).

Did you even try clicking the link? It shows $269 for me.

For anyone who has this card (or the 3L) can you comment on whether or not the voltage is unlocked? I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

The 2L is a nice card. I have it xfired with an older 100352SR which I can only clock to 990/1350 driving a 1440P display. The 2L runs cooler and at a lower fan speed. The 2L automatically goes to 1.25 volts which is pretty high so I haven't bothered to overvolt considering I'm limited by the SR anyway.

I was referring to the free games that amd was giving away with their gpus... not the price...

Sorry for the confusion, and thanks to whoever sent me that sarcastic pm...

My understanding is that the 2L are not voltage locked but the 3L are locked. Btw there is now a 4L which has a single fan.
