Quick question.. Im looking at the 7870 as well, and looking at the choices.. The PowerColor, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and XFX.. Is there any difference between the four? The only thing I did notice is that the Powercolor is a Tahiti? What is this?

7870XT/LE/Tahiti is basically a 7950 light, and is a different card than the 7870. I believe its performance is about halfway between 7870 and 7950.

For the brand, I would get a PowerColor, Sapphire, MSI, or HIS with a good aftermarket cooler.

Thanks, FOr someone whos not doing alot of gaming, would I notice much of a difference? Other than a few games here and there, I dont think Ill be pushing either of them that much... Does having the tower hooked up to a bigscreen ( 70" ) strain on the card much?

1080p is 1080p from the cards point of view. 2 inches or 200 inches. Unless ou plan on upping the rez you should be alright.
