I went to newegg.com this morning (Monday) to order one of the Sapphire Radeon 9800 Non-Pros and discovered its no longer there? This is the card that can be modded via a bios upgrade to make it into a Pro. Other vendors that carried the 9800 NP no longer carries it either. I can't find it anywhere now. It went from being available everywhere to nowhere in 1 day! Did ATI catch on and get to the vendors and tell them to stop selling it? What happened?

Wierd... do they blow up or something? I'd hate to see the insides of my bros Shuttle wrecked by an exploding 9800 :)

Newegg under sapphire has 4-5 ATI 9800's listed at different prices.

2 9800 Pros Bult OEM one as 305 and another at 352. Maybe a mistake or typo?

I bought my 9800NP for 300 dollars...

I think sapphire stopped selling the non - pro. From what I heard on other message boards , the 9800np has not been selling at all over seas and retailers stopped stocking it. Mostly because the priceing between the 9800np and 9700p in some global markets.

Yeah...well the 9700pros have been hard to find too. I figured they'd just pull the 9700pros. Of course, maybe this issue was all the people overclocking 9800nps to pro speeds and not buying pros...ATi cards are too good for their own good sometimes
