Thinking about buying one of these. I know the pro is faster, but not 65 dollars faster. hehe.

Anyone own one of these, lemme know how you like/dont like it.

Thanks.

I'm thinking of this one too since the 9500 pro is only slighly cheaper. Does it go to pro speeds with stock cooling easily?

Well, I think the 9700 and 9700 pro have the exact same core, just clocked differently.
The memory on the other hand may be faster on the Pro. 2.8 ns on the pro as opposed to
3.3 on the non pro. Is this correct?

Although I did buy a Built by ATI 9500 pro that came with 3.0ns memory on it. Kinda confusing.

The NP Sapphire's seem to come with either Infineon 3.3 or Samsung 2.8 memory. The samsung memory should overclock to Pro speeds easily, and possibly more depending on your luck. The Infineon can only hit around 300.

Don66, what kind of speeds are you getting with the 2.8ns mem?
They say that the 3.3ns mem can only get up to about 300Mhz. What did yours reach with stability and
without artifacts?
Thanks,

Oh man, it just got delivered to my house, and I'm stuck at work.. ARRGHHH!! :D
Cant wait to open 'er up and see the goodness. I'm using a Ti4600 right now and using AA/AF really hurts it.

Ok, I tried the new card. It's pretty good in 3dmark2001SE. Over 13000.
But has anyone run into problems with using either a 9500 pro or 9700 playing Unreal Tournament (not 2003)?
I get major artifacts with both ATI cards and not a single blemish with my Ti4600. Do previous Catalyst drivers work better with
UT original. This is very unfortunate for me because it is the game that I play the most often. The ATI cards worked great with UT2003.
Another thing I noticed, the ATI cards arent as smoothe as the Ti4600. When I turn my player in UT using an ATI card (9500pro or 9700)
it seems to be ever so slightly choppy even though my fps are in the 150's. The GeForce4 Ti4600 does not do this. It is really noticeably smoother
than the ATI cards. Anyone have this issue?

Please reply,
Thanks,

benchmarks over my Ti4200 was enough initiative to order it. since I can get some money for the GF4 anyways.
