I guess a 750mhz duron processor really doesnt help the card much. Quake 3 @ 640/480 spasms from 20FPS to 100FPS depending on the scene, totally unplayable for rail maps.
 
Through any 266 Athlon XP in there...

I feel your pain as i have in another rig 8500 LE only pushing 5k with a 800 P3 Eb...
 
Just received my PowerColor Radeon 9800SE with L shaped RAM setup, still waiting on my 9800 pro cooling kit with ramsinks and the blue orb. Once I get that, I am going to kick this puppy in the ass with the 9800se to 9800pro BIOS and see if I unleash a monster... or make a mess.

Eitherway this puppys gonna burn.

I have a Thunderbird 1.4GHz with a 9600 Pro and its pretty playable on Q3A. I get 3000+ 3DMark 03 scores too. I would say your Duron 750, despite being only half as fast, should be able to handle Q3A 640x480 pretty easily. Heck, my old C300@450 with a Voodoo3 3000 could handle Q3A at 800x600 at 60+FPS avg.
