Having a strange problem.
I purchased a Radeon 8500LE. Installed it under windows XP. The drivers install fine, no errors. The card shows under the Device Manager as a Radeon 8500 series, HOWEVER when you view the adapter properties in the Display section it shows the card properties as VGASAVE, Adapter Type is blank and the adapter info all say unavailable.
The hydravision and control panel will not work. Both say no ATI drivers are installed. If you view the properties of the card in device manager, it shows as ATI drivers being installed.
It's a fresh XP install and I have tried the drivers that came with the card, the latest from the sapphire download page, and the latest from ATI's site. All do the same thing.
Is my card faulty, or is there something I'm not doing correctly?

512Mb ram
IBM 120GB hard drive
