Can someone please help explain how I can connect 3 U2311H's to this card?

Card has 1x displayport, 1x HDMI, 1x DVI

The U2311H is DVI & DP only

So it leaves the HDMI as the issue... is there a certain kind of adapter I need? Because I have a displayport to HDMI adapter, which I tried out and it did not work. I was only able to get it to work after buying a DP to DP cable for some reason.

(I tried Video card -> hdmi -> hdmi to dp adapster -> monitor)

Connect 1 monitor with display port (dp cable), 2nd with a DVI cable, and for the third plug into the DVI port of the monitor the DVI>HDMI adapter that is included with your videocard and plug an HDMI cable from the adapter to the card.

BTW which version is this HD5850?

well any DVI>HDMI adapter will do the job :) or you can use a DVI to HDMI cable http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-059-_-Product
