A credit is due to that particular card for sure, but that's all the further I'd read into that.

Why anyone would pay $370 for a card like this over a $180 7950 is baffling, but I guess marketing knows what they're doing.
The prices went up on 7950's to about 240-250 so i think r9 280x has pretty good value for 300 also check out gigabytes r9 280x seems to respond well to overclocking

PS. 780 is by far better card than 7970 but for those who can't afford it, 7970 is imo really good value if you can get good oc out of them.

What exactly, makes it a better card? It certainly cant power 6X1 panel for desktops... Esp if you are a developer who is accustomed to multi monitor for an efficient workstation.

780 is just an overpriced card that people are still trying to justify its cost.
