So i'm waiting for the halibut to come out so I can finally get a new box. Anands recent review said August 5th. Is it just me or is has August 5th past.

I've been searching pricewatch and google trying to line up a Pure, but with no luck. As odd as this seems, I'd really like to buy one because of the color scheme😛

It looks like an awesome mobo...but of course, it'll take forever to actually be available for purchase.

Maybe Sapphire should call their mobo the "Great White" instead of Pure Innovation🙂 Think how COOL the box art could be!

anyone have any new information as to when this motherboard will be released?

im seriously considering this as my next computer, along with the evga sli free motherboard deal and the Jetway 939GT4-SLI if the free motherboard deal is not available.

but if this motherboard is released, i would buy it

x-bit review disappointing

They used electrolytic capacitors from three manufacturers: SANYO, Nichicon and TEAPO. The first two names have been long known as high-quality component makers, however, the last one used to deliver capacitors of not very reliable quality and not very long life-time. Today TEAPO claims that there are no problems with the quality of their electronic components any more. However, during our stress-tests one of Sapphire PURE Innovation PI-A9RX480 mainboard failed for this particular reason: the capacitor dies when the board was running with a Venice based CPU overclocked to 2.8GHz. So, I would doubt the absolute reliability of the processor voltage regulator on this mainboard.

looks like a wait and see for me. maybe dfi will get their board out soon.

Will this board actually EVER be available to anyone else besides "reviewer" web-sites?!!

I'm beginning to think the "cap issue" I read about caused Sapphire to recall EVERY Pure mobo for a full cap replacement!

Hopefully they'll have fixed this issue before the board is actually released.

Waiting for this mobo to "arrive" is quite a joke! It was supposed to be "available" the second week of August and here we are mid-October and no mobos in-stock yet.

It'll be interesting to see what the on-line prices for this board will be when most nF4 Ultra boards are going for ~$80.00 to ~$125.00. Maybe in ~4 months (when I'm ready for my next build), all the bugs will be worked out and the price will be sub $100.00.

Sure glad I didn't wait around for this mobo to arrive before I completed my current PC. I would have had to buy 4 cans of compressed air to "dust" my PC parts prior to assembly🙂

I'm waiting for one of these boards myself. But I'm gonna wait longer than the rest of y'all as I'm also waiting for them to incorporate the SB600 chip too. Any word on this yet?

HELLO...ATI AND SAPPHIRE, IT'S ALMOST TURKEY DAY AND NO STINKING BOARDS AVAILABLE. Was this mobo designed/manufactured by BitBoys?

For some reason, they have MANY ATI based boards on their site, but they all seem to be absent from the US market. A search shows up a few places outside the US that sell them.

I am pissed, as I would like a nice OCing board to replace my MSI RS480M2-IL and want to stick with an ATI chipset.
