Sapphire HD 6870 Vapor-X disappeared?

Hello, I am buying a new computer. For graphics card I would like to buy the Sapphire HD 6870 Vapor-X (or Toxic, but preferably the Vapor-X). I searched EVERYWHERE on the internet, but it is nowhere. Did Sapphire stop making it or something? Has anyone seen a place (in the US) where I can buy one?

But now that we've got you here, what characteristics made you decide this particular card was for you?

I have the 6850 Shapire with heat pipe, not sure if it's a VX, but it's an excellent cooler....that said, I noticed that the 6950 was 50% faster in BF3 over a 6850, so I'd go for 6950 if you have a decent CPU.
 
Thanks for your input, Ken_g6, it is deactivated. I cannot get it anywhere, they all say it isn't in stock, or deactivated etc.

I already have my build, I will buy a Sapphire HD 6870 for now. Then in one year I might buy a new monitor (current monitor is 1680x1050) and get a new 7000-series card. I chose the Sapphire variant because of the Trixx utility OCing software. And because it is supposed to have good cooling. The Vapor-X has an even better cooling than the normal Sapphire HD 6870, you should be able to get 1000MHz Core clock. Toxic uses the exact same cooler, but is already overclocked and more expensive. So that's why I am looking for the Vapor-X/Toxic 🙂
 
Alright, well thats pretty lame :/ Though is there a really big difference between the normal Sapphire and the Vapor-X?
 
Yeah, between the Vapor-X video cards cards (including Toxic), and the 'normal' Sapphire video card. I guess the cooling will be better allowing for better oveclocking, but will that make a huge difference?
 
Overclockability almost never makes a huge difference. It can be significant enough to choose one GPU over another but it's not a big deal either way as the more standard cards tend to cost less and will OC a bit as well.

You'd have to look into that, actually. The reference model very well may overclock better. My Vapor-X 5870's do not use a reference PCB, so I cannot overvolt the GPU like the reference card. So despite the upgraded cooler, you may actually get worse overclocking potential.

Where the Vapor-X cards really shine is in being a quiet card more than anything.
 
Alright thanks a lot for your help everybody! I don't care about the noise it makes as long as it isn't too loud as I always have my headset on anyway 🙂

One last question, is the FleX worth the extra money over the normal Sapphire video card? All I can find on Sapphire's site is that it's supposed to be better for EyeFinity, which I won't use.
