The 128 or 256 bit Sapphire? Anti-aliasing? It'll play, sure, but it aint gonna knock your socks off. As far as video lag goes, you'll get some at times. The 9800 series was a great card for a long time, but it's showing it's age now, especially with the newest games.

I would say yes as long as advanced settings are set to medium. At high graphic settings (AA, AF, V-Sync, & Trilinear filtering etc...) you will need to drop to 1024x768 maybe even 800x600 for good FPS. Get a 6800 GT!!

Or even a 6600 GT, if you're on a budget. Nice card for the money.

Very true although I have not used one. I hate to comment on something I have not used, but the reviews for the 6600GT are very impressive. Has NVIDIA made a comeback or what!!??

It will run fine.

To give you a comparison, I have a 9800 Pro in my main system, overclocked to 410/360, and it plays HL2 @ 1600 x 1200 with no AA/AF fine, and only games like Far Cry and Doom 3 do I run @ 1280 x 960.

System is a 3000+ NC @ 2.3Ghz, 255mhz FSB, 1Ghz HT, 1GB of HyperX PC3500, Chaintech VNF3-250.

As another comparison:
I have a Sapphire 9800pro 128, AMD 64 3200 (754), 1 gig Kingmax ram & a 19" dell 2001 lcd.
Farcry runs smooth as silk @1600x1200 at very high settings.
