Sapphire 9500 -> 9700 Softmod problems

So... I ordered the Sapphire 9500 from www.allstarshop.com and it is the "L" shape memory card with 128mb ram. It has the black heatsink much like a BBA card. Everything is plugged in right, and tried installing omegadrivers first. Omegadrivers gave me problems and I got the blue screen before Xp even booted up. Then I tried installing the card with the softmod drivers from this website, windows booted up but after the login screen, monitor went black and the screen was full of random colors.

Can anyone help me fix this problem? My card has infineon 3.3 cas ram

Maybe hardmod can fix this problem? New bios?

If I just got unlucky =/, then it is time for RMA

Most likely your card simply will not softmod, and that would hardly be a reason to rma the card.

not all L shaped 9500 np can be softmodded?

they have some around (made my optimus? unitek?) here for about $150 and was wondering if i should go for it.

is it a redboard? i hear that redboard have a higher rate for softmodding... if it didnt work BEFORE softmodding or OC'ing, then RMA would be alright.. but if its jacked after.. then ur just robbing the company

No they won't all softmod, which appears to be the case with this guy's .
