Very nice, 2 choices (Sapphire and PowerColor) for very quiet gaming at 100 watts less than a GTX 570 while running at almost GTX 580 speed.

The only bad part is paying $470 or $490 for the cards, not really a step forward for a new generation.

Hurry up nvidia and show us a response, so prices go down and I can decide who gets my money.

Well I don't know how loud it is but its quieter than the Gigabyte Windforce 560 Ti Oc than it replaced. (which was quiet).

Is this one really worth $40 more than the PowerColor card that looks to almost have the same exact cooler? I suppose the Sapphire is factory OC'ed but for $40 more? I'm more than likely going to be able to slide the clocks as far right as possible with either one.

Check out what comes with the cards for cables. Sapphire often has a better bundle than other companies.

FYI I just got the PowerColor today. It comes with a good assortment.

mDP to DVI
mDP to DP
HDMI to DVI
DVI to VGA
6 pin to 8 pin power.
And a cross fire cable of course.

Looks like the Sapphire card comes with a 1.8 M HDMI cable.

Sound measurements depends on a LOT of factors. You can't really easily compare results in two different locations let alone equipment.

We have to be careful here though :

generic HD7950 : 30 / 46 DB according to this review

MSI HD7950 Twin Frozr III : 56.7 / 67.7 DB according to TweakTown

Look like this review is slightly nice regarding decibels...
Right, you have to look at the testing methodology. But my point wasn't to compare the PCS+ numbers to the Dual-X numbers directly, but to see how they both do relative to the reference between the two different noise tests. Maybe we can extrapolate a comparison between the two dual fan solutions. But until a review directly compares the two, I agree any noise measurements must be taken with a grain of salt.

By the way, TPU's methodology shows 36dbA load for the 7950 Twin Frozr III. But the temps are crazy low (59 load for the MSI vs 70 load for the PCS+).
