Sapphire 6850 Flickering/Tearing

Hi! I'm a new owner of the Sapphire 6850. I'm encountering a lot of flickering when any graphical movements occur but it's fine when it's still. I also get some tearing in some older games like Warcraft 3 but I can run newer games like TF2 completely fine. I've tried uninstalling and installing new drivers and nothing seems to be working. I've also tried to tinker around the settings and no luck. Any ideas?

The tearing issue is your video card rendering more frames than your monitor's refresh rate. You can turn on V-sync to solve that problem.

I don't know what you meaning by flickering though...

Any graphical movement produces a split flashing image on the screen. It's on and off and occurs whenever there's graphical movement on the screen. I've tried enabling v-sync, no luck.

It's been resolved. Got the card replaced and everything is running smoothly now. The old card was defective.
