Sapphire 5870 tomm...which drivers?

nVidia guy getting first ATI card since @ 1993 (ATI Graphics Expression- 2 mg)...probably tomm...

Which drivers should I install? Have Win 7 64bit.

Well, I've been doing fine on the 10.5 leaked beta drivers. Dunno what the 10.4 ones are like.

10.3a drivers have been pretty stable for me, I won't be trying any more leaked driver's until ATI releases an official revision. I'd recommend the 10.3a Preview: http://sites.amd.com/us/underground/tips/Pages/catalyst-10-3-preview.aspx

I thought you were going with the 5850, what made you change your mind to the 5870 ?

I like to spend lots of money! It's fun! Really, because I didn't think I'd notice a BIG difference from the 280 nvidia to the 5850. And it wasn't that much of a price difference to the 5870. Plus, it's fun buying expensive computer stuff... I quit playing golf(bad shoulder)... that's @ $40.-$50. a week I save, and now spend much of it on this addiction... YIKES...

I DL'd the 10.3b's... will try those... hope to get the card today from NewEgg along w/ the Corsair HX850 PS.

I disagree,ATi drivers are as good as Nvidia drivers IMHO and experience,I use drivers from both sides.

I normally use the official latest monthly drivers from their website.

Until AMD releases a driver that actually destroys cards, I'm going to have to disagree.

My 5870 is showing up from Newegg today too. Can't wait to get it installed. My Dell U2410 showed up yesterday so it's looking to be a nice week...

I only dream about NV ever matching Catalyst in quality... really tired of seeing random issues with Nvidia here, across the board...
