Sapphire 4870 vapor-x card length

I'm looking at replacing my dying x1950pro with one of these.

My current card just barely fits in my case, an Antec Sonata II with a 120mm fan mounted inside the drive bay, and if this new card is any longer I'll have to pull the fan (which I don't want to do). Does anyone know the exact length of this specific card? I can't find numbers anywhere.
Also, the "recommended" requirements are a 500w PSU, which is what I have (Earthwatts 500). I only have one HDD and not really anything else, this should be enough power right?

I really want to wait a little longer but it looks like my old x1950 is dying so I really don't have much of a choice. Will I be kicking myself in a month for buying a 4870 or is it still a while before the next big jump happens? I know I can get 4870's for cheaper, but I really want one that runs quiet and cool so I'm willing to pay a little more for that. I'm open to suggestions on other cards, but I really don't want to pay more than ~$180. Thanks in advance for advice.

I am pretty sure the HD4870 is the same length as the X1950 Pro.

10.5 inches I believe.

Should fit fine.

Should be the same length, the Toxic card is the same length as reference. My Pny 7900GS (reference design), Radeon 2900 Pro (reference design) and my Toxic 4870 are all the same length.
