The 8800GT, its about 10-15% faster in pretty much all benchmarks. Its $229 today only at NewEgg for some models. Normally its about $239 - $249

I went with the 3870 because I plan to crossfire. $209 shipped is a good deal for sure.

No, most are GDDR4 with one of the few exceptions being the Gigabyte card with the Zalman cooler.
