Hi Stumps...
My monitor does have a DVI connector so the cable has got to be good, works great with the ATi850.

the only thing I can think of then is the Sapphire is defective...

I need to update that picture it's a bit old Emily is 9 months old now, that pic was taken when she was about 4 months.
