put this up on avsforum, arstechnica, and some av specific places but no bites. thought to try here as well. banking on the idea that some corporate helpdesk folk may be here - they're prob more likely to have supported $$ digital projectors..
i am playing with a used plv-20n. i have scoured sanyo's site and beyond in search of a manual with little luck. nevertheless, the projector receives power, and i am presented with the following in terms of indicator lights:
lamp - red
ready - green
warning temp - unlit
lamp replace - unlit
i am entirely new to projectors so my inputs are nothing luxurious: vcr and then n64 (hehe) via rca cables. i have tried each of the 2 av inputs on the projector. i have no bnc or s-video connects so those are out for now.
the fan goes on initially and then disappears - but no light or any response from within the lens. like a great cyclops, the red "lamp" light glows. i hold out hope in that "lamp replace" shows no signs. perhaps though it operates only when the lamp is fading. shouldn't the blue screen come up almost instantaneously?
i have checked out www.pacparts.com for a (pricey) replacement lamp but am wondering if i need to go that route just yet? anyone run a 20n or perhaps another proj with similar xp?
