Topic says it. I can't seem to find any reviews on this, and I'm looking for a high speed SCSI cd-r to replace my 4x. (and don't recommend any IDE please 🙂) TIA.

Woooo Sanyo. I personally like their products a lot.

That is probably your best bet, I don't think Plex has anything over 12x in SCSI.
I dont Know about any reviews on this drive. I have a Sanyo DVD player in the living room, and i love it, Thef really make Fine Consumer Electronic products, I dont think the level of quality would be any different in high end PC components. Another thing that they dont always recieve credit for, They invented Burn Proof.

Another drive that is out is Yamaha's Lightspeed 20x but i'm not sure if the optimal RAW writing method that CloneCD likes is supported

I personally am waiting for two things,
1. Sanyo's 36x SCSI drive should be out soon
2. A raise

Once these two Criterta are met I will kiss my IDE CDRW goodbye (well actually i'll put it in one of my other boxes)

edit .. fixed typo 26 --> 36

I just recently received mine from ILY. I'm running into a weird problem where it appears as 14 (!) drives in Windows 2000. According to LSI Logic (I'm using an LSI 21040 SCSI controller), the firmware on the drive may need to be updated... I have my fingers crossed. 🙂
I was able to boot from the drive though. Nice and quiet.
