It's kinda weird how countries and individual are so similar in how they mature. Young people and young countries start with these grand liberal ideas like everybody can vote, everybody can talk, etc. As they get older, they start to look more like the old people and old countries. Thinking gets more conservative. We want to restrict who can vote (don't want retards voting when they have no idea how government works). We want to restrict things people say (hate messages, saying the F word on TV, etc). We want to restrict who can have guns/arms. Random searches start to seem like a good idea (airports). People start to support cruel and unusual punishment (allowing rape in prison because "they deserve it" then preventing suicide so they need to endure the rape for many years to cum). Separation of church and state has completely flown out the window; it's apparently a big deal what religion the presidential candidate follows. It's really fantastic to see religion playing such a big part in this year's election. The founding fathers would be thrilled to know we have come full circle.
Everything in the constitution is labelled as hippy bullshit and everything starts to look more like the UK where they monitor your every move, restrict what you say, and do not allow guns. They learned that one back in the 1700s. Guns allow the people to form militias and rebel
