Santa Cruz/Win2k problem

Its a known issue with the Santa Cruz 4112 driver set. You have to dissable the SC driver if you want to run scan disc on reboot.

Beat me to it =P

Hey, you know where I can test some of the "unreleased" betas on the Santa Cruz? I've been looking for somewhere that has beta drivers for the SC...

<< Is there a newer driver set where this has been fixed?? >>

Nope not yet, but Turtle Beach is aware of the issue. It makes me wonder how the driver set passed the MS certification.

actually, it's more than simply "the new driver set has issues"...

first, previous beta release WDM sets did it - then it was solved w/ the 4098 set...reintroduced thereafter w/ the next release, then it WAS FIXED W/ THE LATEST RELEASE...or so i thought...
i did a fresh install and it's doing it again w/ the latest drivers...so this is what I suggest..install the 4098 beta drivers, then install the latest ones over top of them...it would seem that perhaps the latest driver installation either doesn't completely uninstall the previous drivers leaving some older driver files intact, or it doesn't install as many files (or different file names) while the previous driver files are still used...specifically the tbscpud.sys (?)...u don't have to uninstall the drivers to chkdsk...just rename that file...(the file it tells u when u get the blue screen crash)...then reboot and rename and reboot again...
