Okay, between these two cards, which one is better? I've heard that the Santa Cruz is better for gaming and the Acoustic Edge is better for music and DVDs. Anyone confirm this? Anyone have anything different to say? Thanks for your replies.

I have both the Hercules GTXP (same chip as the SC) and the Philips AE. I personally like the AE better and I use it as my primary soundcard. The GTXP has more connectivity, and the extra USB ports are nice, but the AE is just a better card in my opinion. The QMSS of the AE is very nice with music and DVD's and I used to think the GTXP was better with games, but the newest AE drivers do wonders, and my GTXP is not currently being used.

I didn't notice too much of a difference in sound quality between the two overall, but the Phillips was slightly better in a few games. The only thing I hated about it that made me take it back was that it had a huge CPU overhead compared to my Santa Cruz, SBLive, and old MX300.
