After an exam today, I'm going to best buy, and plan on buying The Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB. My current drives are the WDC WD6400AAKS (sataII, 640gb) and WDC WD2500KS00 (sataII, 250gb). My initial thoughts are to install windows 7 on the new 1gb drive, use the 640gb drive for tv recording through media center, and the 250gb drive for vm and file backup (not whole system, just a directory, or photos + music).

***Resonable?

EDIT: my budget is pretty much only good enough for the drive I'm considering, so please- no suggestions of SSDs
