Sanity check pls: end of support for Windows Server 2008 (not R2)?

Recently I tried to use the MS site's lifecycle pages to double-check when Server 2008 (not R2) stops being supported with security updates. Can someone confirm that it's 2020 please? I just find it weird that it's the same gen as Vista (which stops being supported in April this year), yet having a 2020 date which I'd expect for the R2 version (being the same gen as Win7).

Windows Storage Server 2008 Enterprise 1/14/2020
Windows Storage Server 2008 Enterprise Embedded

The above ver. are supported until 1/14/2020

😎

For Server 2008 with SP2 support is good until Jan 14 2020, as the last SP for the server take over the support timeframe. The only exception is in the EBS and SBS versions where its the components that are bundled with it determine the lifecycle (ie Exchange, Sharepoint...)
