It was funny and ground breaking in its day but not even close to greatest (not that I believe there is such a thing).

You should check Steptoe and Son the British sitcom from which Sanford and Son is based. I've been sharing it on BT for well over 2 years now.

Sorry brah, but "The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer" is the greatest sitcom of all time. OF ALL TIME!

It may not be the best sitcom ever, but it does have the single greatest episode ever. The episode where Fred thought he shot Goldstein is IMO the best sitcom episode ever.

Almost as good as All in the Family

Sanford and Son was way better than All in the Family, IMO.

All in the Family got all the respect and is remembered the most, but I didn't find it very funny, and I find the Northeastern accents annoying.

Also my favorite growing up, liked it better than All in the Family. Takes me back 40yrs everytime I watch it on TVland
