I think that was the apu purpose is to become a co-processor like fpu did back then.

The problem is, they say that for PhysX to work properly, you need to have at least 1/3 of the CUDA cores on your co-processor compared to your GPU. Sandy Bridge just won't cut it in this respect. Llano might, but probably only for a midrange GPU. I suppose it could allow some more basic effects.

My 260 has 216 cores. So it should be a perfect candidate, no?

Also, for everyone whose whining. The 260 alone isn't loud hot or power hungry. Although relative to some of todays more efficient models it doesnt have the best ratio of performance to emission.
What I meant is that for the purpose of a physx card that likely won't see a tremendous amount of usage it might be overkill.

Sir,good afternoon. I am a beginner in pc. Yesterday i installed mafia 2 in my laptop. After when i tried to open this,a box appeared with physx error. I really dont know what to do next. My specs are>> i3 2330m,2gb ddr3 ram,intel 3000 graphics,windows 7 32 bit

Secondly you should tell us what the error box says.
