120 gb Vertx 2 SS, Antec 902 Case, 2x 5870 brand new these are a maybe I can still return them.

I currently run 2x dell U3011 30 inch panels and will be adding 2 more for a total of 4.

I run a lot of different productivity apps and also want to game on one 30.

For gaming Im probably going to use 2x 2gb 5870 eyefinity 6 cards. I already bought these for $200 each when they were on sale. This seems to be the best bang for the buck by far. I can still return them but I think theyre perfect.

I also want to get a Vertex 3 or next gen SSD ive heard mid march but havent seen them yet.

So far the parts I have are:

120gb Vertex 2 $250
Antec 902 Case $100
2x 2gb 5870 Eyefinity 6 $420

Ive put on hold at microcenter

i7 2600k
Asus P8P67 pro $550 for the pair

Approx $1350 spent already.

This puts me about $250 under budget.

I am open to changing the graphics cards and the motherboard but i think I made good choices.

Im concerned about the noctua and clearance on the p8p67 board but i think i should be fine. i made a conscious effort to get ram without heatspreaders.

Looks good to me. Seems like you got a good deal on the video cards, so I would stick with them. Running in crossfire you certainly aren't going to have performance issues. My only other comment would be the i7 isn't necessary for gaming, so I guess it would depend on what productivity applications you are using to decide if it's worth the ~$100 difference between that and the i5-2500k.

Ah gotcha, how bout some nice speakers?

I have the 2500k, 8 GB ram and one GTX 570 now. Probably going to add another 570 and get a 30" Dell.

When these guys say the 2500k is all you need for gaming, they are right, my system is eating games alive at 1920x1200...

how do you like the sabretooth i was considering it vs the pro. but i dont see many differences although yours looks cooler!

i also have plans to run a number of virtual machines either in win7 or perhaps as a hackintosh.

It's a COOL looking board for sure and if being honest, that is the main reason I got it!

Yes on Ram voltage...

For FOUR Dell's you may wanna go 800W, see what a few other guys say...

my thinking was i wont be driving 4 screens unless its 2d.

if im maxing the video cards it will be only 1 screen.

I'm pretty sure the guys here recommended I get 800w to push two GTX 570's and the Dell at 2560...

The screens don't matter at all when it comes to sizing the PSU.

OP, your original choice of 750W is perfectly fine. In fact, your entire build looks good, though I don't think the i7 is worth 33% more than the i5 2500K.

What I'd really like to see is how you propose to fit 4 30" monitors on a desk!
