He'll be dead before August. Whether by his own hand or a mob of prisoners remains to be seen. But that's a dead man walking at this point.

Hopefully this can bring some closure to his victims.....Vindication that someone finally was looking out for them.

I'm sure this guy has hundreds of victims, justice will only be served once he is dead.

Drudgereport has a good headline right now!

I'm still disgusted over the people at Penn State who turned a blind eye to what Jerry Sandusky was doing.

As well as the protests from students who didn't want their precious sports program "slandered."

However, if the verdicts can bring some closure to his victims as well as removing a monster from the public this is in some small measure a good thing.

From what I saw in one of the articles I just read, it looks like a couple more people from Penn State may be charged.

Im sure they will put him in a protective section in jail with the other pedos. Yes jails segregate pedos from other inmates alot of times, and they need it since nothing is lower than a child molester. Of course that doesn't mean he will live long, that guy has a very high "rep" value to whoever kills him since hes such a vile being..

Can they charge someone for negligence after they've died?

No but you can bet his estate will be fighting civil suits for a long time. He might have had something in his contract with Penn State indemnifying him but I doubt it covers this sort of thing.

JoPa is dead, but there are other officials who (apparently) knew exactly what was going on and chose to look the other way. They need to be in jail as well as far as I'm concerned.

Not that it matters, Sandusky will be in jail until he dies, but I wonder what the 3 counts were that he was not convicted of. That would suck if you were "victim #3" or something and it turns out that those three counts are the charges for what he did to you. That would be awful.

I think Sandusky's suit coat was made from a Barcalounger or La-Z-Boy chair that my dad owned in the '70s.

I thought about what it would be like to have him enter the general prison population and felt a small sense of satisfaction knowing what would happen to him, but I guess just having him out of circulation where he could have abused so many more youngsters is satisfying in and of itself.

There's obviously many more predators like Sandusky out there, where they place themselves in positions of trust that allow them to have easy access to innocent and naive children. That Sandusky was able to commit so many heinous acts of depravity is what's most significant to me.

To molest a single child is bad enough. To have so many other children victimized by him in the position he held is inexcusable. Others that directly contributed to his being able to practice his despicable behavior for so long should also suffer the same fate Sandusky now faces.

There is a stigma as to why other people that knew well what was going on would turn away and kept quiet. We seen this, still see this, within the Cathloic church. So much so that I feel law enforcement most likely will bring no other charges. Prefering instead to let this die with this one instance exposed. Just because one guy was found guilty by a avalanche of evidence, you can't imagine those getting away home free. Society can't deal with this. The church can't deal with this. Our honored institutions truly can not deal with this. It continues. Here we had a married man, a father, highly regarded found guilty of the unthinkable. Even the criminal was in total denial of his own actions. I fear this is just the microcosmic tip of the ice berg. Just as Jack Nicholson once said in a movie line, "you can't handle the truth".

Eh, a high-profile scumbag like this guy will be separated from the population. No prison system wants to have national exposure as the facility that threw a person into a pack of wolves.

penn state is a failure for not reporting this guy. paterno? amazing record and legacy, but overall he's a failure because of this 1 issue. imho penn state should be barred from bowl games for N years where N is large. this is way way worse than anything that happened at OSU.

Could this possibly be the first thing that brings AT together?

What a sicko. His wife should do some time as well for allowing it to happen. Anyone who thinks she didn't know is off their rocker.
