I just ran the new Sandra2002 for WinXP and everything is as expected for my system except this question for my RadeonVE. In the video system info module and on the card info specifically, there is a line telling about the card's total memory. It reports normally 32MB (when will they recognize DDR properly??) and next to that in parenethesis says 23MB AGP which from their help file translates to "the amount of system memory allocated to AGP. This depends on the size of the system memory" (I have 256MB RAM). Isn't that number way too small considering that under WinMe Sandra 2001te was reporting 56MB? The card was the same in both cases of course and the AGP aperture size from the bios always set to 128MB (256/2 that is). Could this notice be affecting my card's performance to worse? Anything I can do or is just a different memory management by WindowsXP? Thanx to all....!

although sandra is a valuable program, it has to interface with so many different setups that it cannot be really accurate - i think that your problem is in fact a SANDRA problem.

In fact, what we really need is someone to tell what is that amount of MB dedicated to AGP from the RAM and maybe then we can figure out if it is Sandra's problem, a change in my configuration settings that affected it, or a different way that WinXp manages that amount compared to WinMe....
Maybe we could learn useful stuff from this case....
