Sandra scores...Question

Can someone explain to me how 2 chips running at the same speed produce different cpu scores....

I know they maybe on different mobos and at different fsb...but if the cpu speed is the same why are the score different...

I saw someone report a cpu score of 3900+/1900+ for 1GHZ at 1400...I can run my cpu at 1.2@1406 and I get cpu 3780/1850....

Why?

BTW I am on an AsusA7V133 with optimal settings, ram is at pc143 cas222

It's possible you have something running in the background eating cpu cycles.
Also if DMA isn't enabled this will also cause the same effect.

That's gotta be it..my Asus probe with software cooling, firewall..zonealarm, as well as Norton protection and antivirus

Thanks
