I've never really understood the AMD PR rating & never paid much attention to the what Sandra shows on its output as "Performance Rating". Is what Sandra shows analogous to what AMD states? For instance, in looking at the HardOCP overclocking results on a 3.06GHz P4 HT, the Performance Rating is shown as "PR8098 (estimated)" - are they saying this result is equal to a 8GHz AMD chip??

Nope. I believe the PR is related to when Cyrix was using the PR naming scheme. I'm willing to bet that the reported PR8098 for the 3.06 P4 is an error.

maybe since it shows up at a dual cpu system its adding the 2 separate pr's together to give you 8098?
i dont have a p4 ht system so i cant check and prove myself wrong, someone else will have to do it for me ;)
