Sandra Memory Scores.

Alright my Sandra memory scores seems alot higher then what the others posted.
What gives? I'm using 1.11.8.53 Professional with the latest update.

Here is my memory Score.
Memory 2076/1950
CPU Arith Dhry ALU =4444
CPU Whet FPU=2225
CPU MM Inter=8726 it/s
CPU MM Floating=10233 it/s

In an effort to better represent real world performance, Sisoft has come out with a few different versions of the Sandra memory benchmark. One (probably the one you are using) measures "buffered aEMMX/aSSE bandwidth" - This one always comes out with extremely high scores. The standard free version measures ALU/FPU bandwidth (much lower, "traditional" scores), and the Pro version (by default) measures integer MMX/FPU bandwidth (slightly higher than ALU FPU standard).

Make sure you are comparing your scores with people who used the same version. FWIW, your scores look just about right on par for the buffered aEMMX/aSSE bandwidth verion.

The Sandra default memory benchmarks are measured with the MMX, SSE and SSE2 all disabled. This is the measurement to be compared with the reference benchmarks that come with the program. These functions are controlled by the options box that is standard with all versions of Sandra, including the free version. 😎

When you go to options and uncheck the disable boxes, the SSE2 memory scores will be significantly higher. The default measure will show Int ALU/RAM or Float FPU/RAM. With SSE2 enabled, the higher score will show Int SSE2/RAM or Float SSE2/RAM. Look at the Sandra window carefully.

I have seen review sites using SSE2 score for comparison with the default score to show the "great performance" of their hardware. :|
