It is showing my Acer 36x CD-Rom as a 4x speed and I am only getting 360 score which ain't good.

What could be the problem?

There are other bugs too, I have a 700 oc'd to 868 and Sandra showed it out performing a p4 1.4 So I wouldn't put too much on it. Take sandra as more of an insight of your system, not a tell-all end of the story utility.

yea...sandra has it's flaws...the pro version is more accurate however

only thing it's really good for are it's memory benchmarks.

Use Sandra kinda as a standpoint--mark all your scores pre-OC, then post-OC, so you can see what's changed...it's not really for braggin rights :)

Kinda...

I like it best when I run the memory benchmark 5 consecutive times, and I get 5 totally different results. Usually it gets higher and higher, then it levels off a bit. ha!

Sandra is crap. It's very difficult to make a good identification/benchmarking program, though. I like Norton SysInfo.

Whats the best(all-in-1) benchmarking program? Please don't say sandra.

BTW I have a Acer 36x. I updated the firmware and am now getting 1600 something and its showing me with a 16x now.

Oh yeah is Acer and good brand for CD-Roms and Burners?
