Sandra and MBM5 crash :(...linked problem?

Hey all,

Been having this problem with Sandra (any version) and MBM5 since I got my Epox 4BDA2+, P4 1.6A and so on. Perfectly happy with the machine, everything works except Sandra and MBM5, which both crash at the splash screen - as in lock the *entire* system (WinXP Pro).

For some reason, I think this is a linked problem, but I'm not sure. I've updated the highpoint drivers to the latest release, and the mobo bios has the latest Highpoint bios as well. This problem is really starting to bug me, and suggestions/fixes would be appreciated! Detailed system spec below :

Epox 4bda2+
Intel P4 1.6A Northwood @ 2.4ghz (150*16, 1.8v)
512mb Crucial CAS2.5 DDR266 (2x256mb) (running at 300mhz DDR, 2.8v)
Creative GF4 Ti4600
Terratec 512pci
Netgear FA310TX
Intel PCI 56k modem
2x 30gb Seagate 6-series 5400s (RAID1 via Highpoint)
1x 60gb Western Digital 600BB 7200 (Single Drive on Highpoint)
DVD-Rom, Cd-Writer, Zip, Floppy etcetc
400w Macron PSU in an Antec SX1030B (with plenty of ventilation <grins>)
