i updated my sandra2000 pro today morning(7-15-00) & noticed instead of fixing problems, it made things worst, the memory scores got all screwed & the ref. systems have not been updated, but if you download the new sandra2000 standard version 2000.7.6.49 it has none of the problems that the pro has with the update, if this is a 2000 shareware finalist, i wonder how bad the other sharewares are...

I noticed that it reports the memory speed, voltages, and temperatures accurately now compared to before. The only one still off is the core voltage.

if you updated your sandra2000 pro, did your ref. system change to 1ghz models? when i updated mines the ref. systems were still 600mhz athlons & the memory for the other systems fpu were all 0. now using the standard sandra2000 i have none of those problems & i noticed after switching from the 3.6.3 sandra to this new ver. i got a memory score boost from 349/405 to 360/436, i never knew a benchmarking program increases performance, wow. it still has wrong reports on number of dimm slots, fan speed, voltage. i noticed everytime this program gets updated therre's always new problems & some old problems haven't been fixed since sandra99, this program isn't very close to accurate on a few things.

I have the same problem with the memory benchmark showing no other reference system scores, and it did bump my memory results a little higher than the other version. As I said though, at least for me, the voltages (except core) seem to be correct, and it has no problem with reporting the DIMM slots, as well as memory type and speed. The other version showed all of my voltages as .01's, and .03's. Hopefully they will release a patch for the memory benchmark & core voltage soon. Other than that, it works well enough for me to keep until then. As you said, all previous versions had some problem or the other.

even though they say not to download the standard if you have the pro, i say use the standard for now until a fix because the standard does everything the pro does as well. i'm using the standrad now & it has all the functions to test hdd, dvd, memory, multimedia, cpu, check your mainboard & cpu info. & that is everything you really need & it has the updated 1ghz KT athlon & 1ghz 820 PIII as ref. system. my system running at 933 with 256 pc133 gets:
cpu multi-media: 2874/3827
cpu benchmark: 3524/1229
memory: 363/441
hdd: 20400
dvd: 3311

if your motherboard has 4 dimm slots it would look correct, but i use this program at work to test out many different motherboard models & those that have 3 slots like mines still shows as 4 slot dimm. i don't have any problems with the voltage beside the vcore myself also.

Did anybody had problems with the motherboard info. check option? In mine, it locks the computer and won't even let me reset or turn the power off. I had to unplug and then replug the computer. Also, the temperature it reports is different than the one found under bios settings, which one is more accurate? (in sandra it reported my system being to hot @ 159 F, under bios settings i get ~109 for the CPU and ~100 overall)

if you downloaded the latest version of sandra 2000 released on july 19 & still have that problem, then i don't know if there's a fix, but if you have the original sandra 2000, then download the new version & that should fix the problem, if you own the pro version of 2000, you can do a update & then go to the sandra website & download the benchmark file to update the result table.
