Found a SanDisk 802.11b CF network card for $49.99 shipped HERE.

Shipping says 10 day free shipping, but it only took about 4 for me to get it.

It comes with a PC Card adaptor also! These cards are selling for $70 - $80 most places!

Working great in my Axim!!!

dang, if only I found this BEFORE I bought mine! I bought the netgear one, I am guessing it's just the same one, rebadged. If I am right, then this will work with WinCE 2.11 also wtih the Compaq WL-100 drivers.

actually, compusa usually has good deals on these. well, they've had the netgear and belkin for $40 AR, and the dlink for $30 AR. and they just had a linksys for $40 AR also
i'd go with one of those, cause though they have rebates, it's a better brand. and performance does differ (belkin performed worse than dlink and netgear. lost the signal when i went to the kitchen, while others didn't)

Been using mine for a little over a week, and so far so good.

No loss of signal at all...... Hope that it stays that way! ;)

have you guys seen the sandisk 128 meg cf and 802.11b card? they're selling it at dell for $100. so pretty expensive, but good if you have only 1 slot (and only need 128 megs)

Does this have an external antennae jack? I need to find a CF card that does, and this is a great price.

i don't quite understand 'external antenna jack' 100% , but i don't see any thing of that kind . the antenna is kinda thick and big.

I'm looking for a card that I can plug an external antenna in to. The Orinoco's have a hole on the end of the card with a little plastic plug in them. If you pop the plug out you can plug an antenna in. Other card you have to pop the built-in antenna out to plug an external in. I'll just google it and try to find a site that says if it does.

Does anyone know if these cards will work with a notebook and/or desktop with a CF reader? CF is the one format that is common to all three sizes of computer, and it would be nice to have one card that would connect any of them wirelessly.

No, I don't think this one has an external jack.

As for CF reader...um, I don't know. =) Sorry.

One thing to look out for on any CF Wifi cards: see how big the antenna is. Some antennas are huge (cough belkin) and block off mike jacks.

Other note: CUSA has CF 802 cards at $30 a lot. I've seen Ambicom alone at least twice (I heard Ambicoms are good) and I've seen cheap D-Links, Linksys, etc. I also sa wa $20 after MIR one @ CUSA once (just once).

Note 2: check for Win Mobile 2k3 compatibility before buying if you have a WM2k3 device.

Does anyone know which chipset the Sandisk uses? I believe Belkin and Linksys usually use Broadcom chipsets while D-Link and Netgear have usually integrated Intersil chipsets.
