I use the Cruiser to put in proggies for new builds...wll I accidentally left it plugged in on 1 while installing XP and it wiped clean. 🙁

It reads as a Removable Drive but with 0 Capacity...Disk Management won't Format it nor check for errors...Any Help to bring it back to 1 Gig in FAT32 would be appreciated

interesting..have sent you SanDisk CruzerLock Installer v1.1 zipped from my yahoo email..hope that helps might be best to do in a FAT environment(98 or Me or an XP FAT setup) ..please update on this..thanks <edit> seems that won't help..can do it under 98 according to SanDisk like Dave suggested..hmm<edit 2> appears that Windows Server 2003 uses FAT12 for formatting floppy disks and FAT32 for formatting flash media..

Yep...Sandisks Phone support sucks and emailed them yesterday but no response...

Thanks ScrapSilicon I never saved it and am now trying to use smart recovery and adding programs on the new Putes via Optical Drives.

well from what I've garnered so far I haven't done you a favor(seems the CruzerLock prog sucks 🙁) ..nm..didn't do what needed to be done 🙁

LOL...yea I just tried to install it and all it wrote after a few attempt was "Goodbye"

I tried PC Inspector Smart Recovery and it reads the Sectors but thats about all 🙁

Me also as I've tried various programs to no avail...(ie.Partition Magic, Norton Disk Doctor).
It seems to me if I get no answer then it's RMA time 😉

Thanks for the added response...as 1 last resort I decided to try the following which worked !😀

Put in Windows ME CD (Windows 98SE Floppy prolly would work)...
Went to FDisk and then to Disk 2
Deletd the Partition and installed DOS
Rebooted to XP and formatted to FAT16 (had a choice of FAT32 as well)
Bingo... SanDisk 1Gig Ponied up and has 976MB... working fine 😛
