I recently bought a SanDisk SSD 64GB it is advertised UP TO 490 MB/s read & 240 MB/s write. It is installed in AHCI mode and I benchmarked it with HDTune Pro. I am getting 205 MB/s read which is well below the 300 MB/s SATA 2 speed. I believed I would get close to the SATA 2 speed of 300 MB/s. I have done a couple of runs with HD Tune not getting any faster just a consistent 205 MB/s. I'm stumped?
For reference my Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD gives me 165 MB/s in HDTune. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
