SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB And Software

I have been thinking about getting an MP3 player for one of my sisters. We don't normally exchange gifts on holidays and birthdays unless it is something we make ourselves. She and I have discussed MP3 players now and then though, and she has considered getting one for use during her workouts. I don't think she would ever spend the money on one herself, considering it a frivolous item.

We did discuss what she would want in one if she were ever to get one, though. Basically, all she cares about is having a screen to make music selection easier (so no iPod Shuffle) and she would prefer one with flash memory since it would be used during exercise. 2GB would be more than enough storage space and she probably wouldn't even fill that up.

I saw a SanDisk brand MP3 player at the store the other day, it had 2GB storage and I believe it was one of these. They are on sale through today at a local store for $39.99.

Anyone have any experience with these particular players, and is there anything I ought to know about them that isn't obvious from the manufacturer's web page?

My main concern is software, though. Not so much for loading music onto it, but for ripping CD's. While she is somewhat computer savvy, I don't want her to have to deal with defeating DRM to rip stuff. I want to be able to set her up with something where she can just pop the disc in, and have everything automatically ripped and tagged.

I have the 4gb clip from Costco for 49.99, it works well I bought it to use during mowing and yard work. The fm radio is nice if I get tired of listening to regular music and seems pretty durable. The screen is small but is good enough. The ripping question I cannot answer because I use Imtoo rip for years now and just threw the disc that came with it in the can.
