Sandisk Cruzer Mini limitation?

I got a 512MB Cruzer mini that says it's full after putting on 44 files regardless of size. Can anyone else verify it?

i got 384 meg + sp2 extracted on it.. that definitely has more than 44 files

Odd, I did some messing around, I can create a folder, and put a bunch of files in it. But the root directory can't take many. I wonder if there's a hidden recycle bin or something on it.

Formatting it fixed the problem. I never thought I'd ever do that.
