Sandisk 1gig v.s. my Media Player 10

I have Winxp pro SP2, and Media Player 10. Whenever I try to get my mp3's to the sandisk, it says "the drive could not find the sector requested"

1)But I can see all my songs on the disk in My Computer, I can also delete those songs.
2) I have available space left on the Sandisk Player
3)I have put songs on the player recently, so I know it works.
4) None of the MP3's are copywrited


Any Suggestions?
